Schoolin Life...

T
he life of a student is said to be fast- paced, exciting, experimental... a time of self- discovery and facing life’s challenges, Yes, student life is all this and more; MORE stressful, depressing and sometimes lonelier than everyone would like to admit. As I sit and type this post (first hour of absolutely uninterrupted free time I’ve had in a long time) I can’t help but think of the inspiration behind this post, as a student living in a residence with 150 ladies, one would assume that my friends and I have plenty of quality time to spend gossiping over late night pizzas and chick flicks… WRONG! I have been back at res for approximately 51 days now, I can safely say I have only spent time, REAL girl time with my friends once! Yes, that’s right 1 out of 51- besides chatting on bbm, catching a quick coffee at the ‘cool people stairs’ on campus, or slipping in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians at res I have literally had no contact with my girls, no meaningful conversations, no serious gossip sessions- nothing! This obviously needed my immediate attention so, I put it to my friends that we spend some quality time together and being the random spontaneous ladies we are we decided to stage a “How to look cute this winter” photo shoot …these were the results; gorgeous pics courtesy of our photographer, Mali.
Beautiful pics thanks to Zama, S’the and yours truly ;) and most importantly, the best two hours I’ve had in the past 51 days of this semester.
